Delete your Cantonese Garden account

Effective October 31, 2026

You can delete your Cantonese Garden account and the data that goes with it in either of two ways.

In the app

1. Open Cantonese Garden and sign in.
2. Go to Settings → Account → Delete account.
3. Confirm. Your account is deleted straight away.

By email, without the app

Email dev@faantung.com from the email address your account uses, with the subject "Delete my Cantonese Garden account". If you signed in with Apple and hid your email, tell us that you used Sign in with Apple and we will help you confirm the account is yours. We delete the account within 30 days and reply to confirm.

What is deleted

• Your sign-in record: email address, and any name, profile picture link and account identifier from Apple or Google.
• Your profile: display name, avatar and friend invite code.
• All learning progress: practice records and scores, review schedule, streaks, jade, coins, items, garden, pets and settings.
• Your friend connections, and your place on leaderboards.
• If you signed in with Apple, the app's access to your Apple ID is revoked.

What is kept

Nothing is kept on purpose. Copies in our database provider's routine backups are removed as those backups expire. Voice recordings are never stored by us at all: they stay on your phone and are discarded after each attempt.

Subscriptions bought through the App Store or Google Play are managed by Apple or Google. Deleting your account does not cancel one, so cancel it in your store account settings as well.
